LIFEdance Foundation is a UK-based international non-profit division of LIFEdance, alongside LIFEdance Community and LIFEdance Academy. LIFEdance companies are brought to you by Boas Consulting. LIFEdance Foundation continues the legacy of FAST - the Foundation for the Arts in Social Transformation.

What is the purpose of LIFEdance Foundation?

The purpose of LIFEdance Foundation is to nurture generative social transformation and transcultural leadership, through coaching and other forms of co-creative conversation.

What are the activities of LIFEdance Foundation?

LIFEdance Foundation activities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • volunteer coaches and mentors who are members of LIFEdance Community, work on projects that serve vulnerable or historically underserved communities. By way of example, we provided life coaching free of charge to frontline healthcare workers during the Covid-19 pandemic;
  • scholarships are provided to coaches or aspiring coaches, to receive training in the boas tools for transformation, with a commitment to use their skills to the benefit of vulnerable or historically underserved communities. By way of example, one of our scholarship students is providing life coaching to adults affected by bereavement in the light of the Fentanyl crisis;
  • bursaries are provided to coaches or aspiring coaches who are members of specific vulnerable or historically underserved communities, to receive training in the boas tools for transformation. Bursary recipients are expected to become agents of social transformation through their development and use of coaching skills. By way of example, we have provided training in coaching and leadership to young people living in Khayelitsa and other informal settlements in the vicinity of Cape Town, South Africa.
